Anybody have a Carriage Works bolt over polished billet grille on an 03 Silverado?

Seen pics of them and it looks good. Just wondering what they look like on truck, how they fit etc.

Looking to buy one if you couldn't tell.

BTW billet bowtie also.....

Looking into a carriage works grill as well. If you have access to the newest Truckin' magazine, Aug 2003, they have installation and pics of a bolt-over carriage works and a cut and drill type also from carriage works on a '03 Silverado.

Looks trick as hell, they are supposed to have the article up on their website, but they haven't updated it yet from last month's issue.

Just looked at my latest Truckin mag and it is for July I'll go get the new one tomorrow and check it out!

Thanks for the info. Pro-Tec

Just put one on my 03 1500HD a couple weeks ago.

Looks Fantastic

The mounting is kind of cheesey, some toggle bolts thru grill. The finish of the grill was not the best either.

You will have to monkey around with it to get your best fit.

But, It really looks "SWEET"

I just installed the brushed finish bolt over on my 03. It is a huge improvement to the appearance. Installation took about 20 minutes, kinda fiddly but not hard at all. The fit is about an 8 on a 1-10 scale.

Give me an email address and I'll send pics.

Bought the mag and checked out the link. Thanks for the info. again. :D

I'm thinking I'll go with the bolt-over one in case I want to change it later as new ones come out.

Good point..... Lots of designs out there, including one with miniature bow ties. ah well...

I went with the cut-out-the-original one. I might regret that. Will have to invest into a decent cutting tool and grinder---I'd like to make this look as close to factory as possible.

Funny........ what if our trucks came with the Billet design rather than the "X" grid one. And, if a company offered the "X" grid grill, like what we have. Would we be purchasing the "X"? :D

lrymal,

That's probably what would happen, anything to make our trucks look different :D

I was looking into a polished version of the "x" original design but no one offers it yet. I am also looking into the drill and cut version. If my truck was the same color as an SS I would have bought the SS grill to slap on. Did you see some of the designs they offer now? Some are too garish.

Well, I installed it tonight. Was so excited that I pulled the grill off and did the assembly of the Billet while in the living room at the house. Raging storm outside and I'm anxious to see how this will look since I can't see it with all this bad weather.

Anyway, will retake a signature photo of the truck and update it. The truck now has the Billet grill and also black GM factory flairs that I purchased at eBay.
