Where does it say 5300 on my z71

It should state the engine size somewhere in the engine bay. What year and model truck do you have?

Emissions label will say it. I think it's on the air cleaner lid on a 2005.

If you have trouble finding the engine size on the emission sticker you can look in the glove box and get all the RPO codes and search for them online that way too.

pretty sure the only way to tell between a 4.8 and a 5.3 is the rpo code. But im not sure, both RPO codes may even be the same. The only for sure way to tell is to see what pistons it has. 5.3 has valve reliefs, 4.8 are flat top pistons. I know that part for sure

RPO will be different. VIN is too.

Not true. The 8th digit of the VIN indicates the engine.
