I put 45K on the Avalanche's stock P265/70R16 Firestones. I had Belle Tire install LT265/75R16 BFGs and I'm very pleased. The problem the truck had with crosswinds is gone - probably thanks to the 3-ply sidewall. There is only a small amount of additional tire noise. The tires look awesome. The only downside is rain performance - better than stock but not as sticky as some.

I hope the BFG treats you better than they did me. I only got 10-15K total on 285/75/R16's.. But they are a good looking tire..

On my previous truck (an 88 F-150) i had 31x10.50R15 BFG A/T's on the stock 7.5 inch rims, and got almost 80k out of them (I rotated the tires every 4-5k). Once these Bridgestones wear out, I'm getting BFG's.

I put over 80,000 miles on a set of 285 BFG AT/KO's on my 2001 F250 diesel. Rotated every 10k. Great in snow and ice, good in mud.

I think I will be buying a set soon..........

Got my truck stuck at a dang Tractor Dealers parking lot. Gravel and had the front end sitting down in a little ditch. Had to put it in 4 wheel drive to get out........ :):fume::fume:

Needless to say I will be sending the crapstone tires to the dump........
