General upgrade questions

I have a few questions about possible upgrades for my truck.

I have an 2015 LT Z71 Crew cab silverado for reference.

1. Is it possible to put projector headlights in this? I really like the look of the LTZ's lights but an LTZ wasn't in my budget. Or just a replacement bulb to get a little whiter light? Could I even just buy an OEM LTZ headlight set and sell the LT set? I've read the thread about HID upgrades but it seems like most of that is upgrading existing projector headlights.

2. Sound system wise is there any way to get the Bose system installed aftermarket? I'd like to boost my audio game a little bit, and If possible would like to see if the dealership could install the Bose system after the fact. Might be far fetched but who knows, figured it was worth asking about.

If these trucks are anything like my 2003 Maxima was back in the day, the Bose system was like cancer. I hated the Bose and wanted to upgrade it all front to rear and I was finding little amplifiers all over the place...in the doors, under the dash, under the deck lid.

The Bose system sounds pretty good and for the most part, i'm happy with it. But even if it's possible for you to have it done, you'd spend much more than if you went to a reputable car stereo shop and installed a top of the line system.

There are aftermarket projector conversion kits for our trucks. As far as using LTZ lights, not sure, hopefully someone can chime in on that. As far as the Bose goes, don't think you can add that aftermarket, especially since it's an optical system. However, if you're looking for a somewhat OEM styled solution. Kicker makes a package with a subwoofer and an amp that go under and behind the seat respectively, with brackets specific for the truck. They also have a package with the same subwoofer and an amplifier/dsp that will run the sub and the existing speakers, giving them more power and giving them a retune. Alpine also makes a package specific to that truck, comes with 3 way speakers for front, mounting adapters, coax for rear, behind seat subwoofer and 5 channel amp with plug and play harness and bracket. Finally, u can always go aftermarket n install whatever audio u want. I've done several of these trucks already

The 'best' option would be to buy a set of factory LTZ projector lights, install FXR/HID combo. I have seen some used sets of LTZ lights on craigslist for $300. At least this way you can buy a factory set, plug and play and do the FXR retro later when funds are better.

I have no input on the bose as my truck came with it from the factory (LTZ) and I love it. The best bang for your buck would be a single 10" or dual 10" woofers under the back seat.

I run dual 10's in my double cab, doesn't affect leg room or seat position either and it not hard to install and cost will be a tons cheaper then having gm putting the bose in there

Yes, you can install the factory LTZ Headlight Assemblies but I believe you will need a different headlight wiring harness to make them work properly. If I find the thread that I read this in I'll post it for you.

Edit: I found what I was looking for and I had it confused with another application. Yours should be straight plug and play. Let me warn you though, if you do not intend to upgrade the headlights to at least LED's and really HID's then I wouldn't waste your money on the LTZ projectors because your stock LT Headlamps will put out more light than the projectors. The projectors absolutely suck when it comes to overall light output. If you do not want to spend a lot of money and want a whiter/brighter looking headlight look into the Sylvania ZXE bulbs. I never put HID's in my old 2011 because these bulbs were bright enough for me.
