REAR END HELP!!! PLEASE

I have a figure 8 race truck and destroyed the rear end it is a 1995 Chevy k1500. Would a rear end from a 98 k2500 work with it? Will the drive shaft match up just right? Thank you

I'd assume the k2500 would be an 8 lug wheel vs. the 6 lug of the k1500. Other than that all should match up but I'd bet there's probably a difference in the driveshaft yokes / u-joints and splines (i.e. a heavy duty version?) Unless someone here has direct experience and can say for sure, only a direct comparison of parts will tell you for sure.
