Even though I am not sure I am keeping the truck, I was bored this afternoon and wanted to fill in the huge hole in the lower bumper. Why spend so much $80?

$2.50 prefinished black metal gutter guard from Menards. Cut to length ... Fits pretty well. A couple screws for secure hold. Boom, done. Total of about 15 mins.

Even if it only holds up for a while.... I can replace it easily. Protects the cooling system from bugs and rocks.

Looks good. If you are pulling a trailer keep an eye on the tranny temp. That small of mesh may block airflow to the rad a little bit. Especially if it gets full of bugs. If you don't pull much it shouldn't matter.

That looks good, it will protect a lot. I used a cold front in the winter on my old truck and that helps a ton too, I need to get one for this truck now. MI winters are full of salt rocks, sand and gravel.

I got an aftermarket chrome plate with small holes for that gapping hole shortly after buying my 2015. Wasn't $80. I think it was around $49. Good job on yours! I was worried about gravel, corn stalks, etc getting shoved in that big hole and damaging the cooler. Why GM didn't have some sort of screen in there is one of those little mysteries of life.
