I have a 2015 gmc sierra regular cab work truck was wondering what wires to tap into. I've circled connectors that have grey wires but not sure which ones to tap into.post-158698-147311102168_thumb.jpg

How are you wanting them to function? Similar to your dome lights? I have seen this mod and have been thinking about how to wire them and thought they should function like the dome and could control it with the same switch.

I tapped into mine behind the A pillar. Easier t work on it there. The dome wiring should be the same on the WT vs LT/LTZ.

I want them to function exactly as the dome lights do. I want them to fade out at the same time to keep it looking factory.

I initially took the A pillar cover off and realized there are 2 grey wires that are the same size running through the pillar. I was a little nervous about going that route with the air bag right next to my head.

Will either of the Grey wires in the A pillar make the new leds work like the dome lights? Also, should I be concerned about setting off the airbag or is there really now way for me to do that with what I'm doing?

Don't quote me on this (as I've haven't done this mod yet), but it looks like Interior Lamp Control is pin # 1 (Circuit 157) of BCM X7 Connector. I tried finding a BCM diagram that has the numbering of the connectors. I'm hoping its X1-X7 from left to right?

Based on the threads suggested about, you'll want to tap into that Upper Left hand blue connector. That connector is part of the X61A Junction Block - Instrument Panel X3. Pins 28 & 29 appear to be what you want to tap into. It is in the middle row, next to the yellow wire. Yellow wire is Pin 27. Pin 28 (GY/D-BU - to the right of the yellow) is Circuit 156 (Courtesy Lamp Switch Signal), Pin 29 (GY) is Circuit 157 (Interior Lamp Control). Hope this helps.

I ended up tapping into the solid gray wire in the A pillar. I Ran the wires to a dimmer switch I mounted next to the brake pedal and ran both lights off of that switch. It looks a lot better with light in the footwells.

I'll probably be buying some better led strips in the near future as the ones I have are cheap and a little blue for me, but so far I love it! I'll get some pictures posted once it gets darker outside.

I tried this. I took the a pillar off and tapped into the solid grey wire and when I unlocked the truck they began flickering with the blinkers. Anyone have info on how to fix this.
