Hesitation, Stalls, Sputters

Hello..first time poster so please bear with me.

 

I have a 2006 GMC 2500 HD. 6.0L

 

Recently, it has begun to hesitate and sputter at take off from a stop while in drive. It has also stalled a few times.

 

Sitting and idling, it has revved up to about 1.5-2k RPM the dropped to under 500 and acted like it was going to stall.

 

Used several cans of brake parts cleaner to check for vacuum leak, no leaks found. Checked PCV valve as well and it was ok.

 

At that point the shop and I figured it was in the throttle body/sensor. Replaced the entire throttle body assembly with a new sensor.

 

It is still doing this.

 

No code is present. Have done a complete engine scan and found no errors.

 

I'm frustrated as you can imagine. Any assistance would be appreciated.

well lets stay simple can you refill at another station? Have you just gotten fuel recently. maybe you get lucky just some crappy gas.

Sounds like a failing fuel pump. Mine would run and then fall on its face if I tried to accelerate.

Fueled up at different stations, so bad gas shouldn't be a problem. Ran a can of sea foam thru the system as well.

 

I thought fuel pump as well, but that wouldn't explain the idle speed going to almost 2k rpm then dropping back down to 200-500.

sounds like you need to hook up an odbii device that can display live data, to try to see what the computer is doing, with the various signals it uses to determine how to run the motor (like O2 sensors, MAF, MAP, ECT). And I would also check the fuel pressure at the rail that it is holding steady at 55+ psi.
