Endless SMS Notifications? System trying to catch up? DANGEROUS

I have a 2016 Sierra Denali with the Android auto intellilink system and every time I get in the truck it seems that the intellilink portion of the system is trying to keep up with all of the previous SMS notifications I got while I was not in the truck. This results in nearly endless SMS notifications, one right after another as soon as I get in my truck for the first 10 minutes of driving, Not only is this dangerous as it's extremely distracting, it's also driving me batty and the only way I can find to clear them is ONE AT A TIME.

 

Anybody know how to stop this?

I'd talk to the dealer about this - or maybe master reset the phone.

 

the '15 Colorado I had never had this issue, my '17 Camaro never had it, nor does my '15 Sierra.
