PICO? test, personal experience with mileage.

I wanted to get some others' experiences with their dealer doing a PICO test on their truck. I've had 2 done, for whatever reason, and each time they put over 100 miles on my truck.

If this is the norm, which I find hard to believe, I'll let it go.

I contacted the "service manager" and he spewed some bs about their standard route for doing the test. I know our roads are bad but not over 100 miles bad. All this for a tire change, which should have been their first move IMO.

So, anyone else care to share the mileage seen with this test?

Thanks!

GM is making sure that dealers try their hardest to duplicate vibration concerns on these K2 trucks. We put 55 miles on one as it would not duplicate easily.

My vibrations have all been tire related, supposedly. Would it not make sense to check them BEFORE putting that many miles on a customers truck? It never failed to shake at 75+.

And this was the second time they had to fix this shake. They replaced 2 tires the first time and this time it came back after a tire rotation. So TIRES maybe?

This dealership lost my business today. Hopefully I'll have better luck with one of the others nearby.

They couldn't even diagnose/repair a bad rear shock. They threw some grease on the spring and called it a day.

Terrible service.
