Hi guys I have a 2016 2500 hd crew cab with 4000 miles on it. Ive noticed my truck truck to be pinging under load.Brought the truck in to the dealer and said it was normal and the knock sensors were operating properly.Ive tried different gas stations and grades of fuel don't know where to go from here

Welcome to the club. Went through the exact same thing with mine over the past 9 years. I just got used to biting the bullet and running premium all the time.

Mine is a flex-fuel, so I suspect whatever detects the alcohol level of the fuel is screwed up, and has been since it left the factory. Par for the course.

My scan tool showed 15% alcohol content, after a fill up in NY with ethanol-free premium. Hard to say if its the sensor, or some shady gas station ripping everyone off. Either could be true today ...

I noticed my 16 hd under load started doing the same thing. I was positive it was engine ping but I noticed if I turned the steering wheel at the same time it went away.

My truck has the loud digital assist steering noise while at idle that others have been complaining about
