Exhaust question

Im curious if running a 2.5 into a 3 inch. Dump of. Would do anything power wise or is it just a waste of money ?

You really don't get much from exhaust mods until you get into serious things like headers and such. It'll sound louder but that's about it. That said, even knowing it won't do a damn thing I've had exhausts on every vehicle I've owned since I was 16. Useful or not, it sounds good. haha

Fair point Picked up a nice magna flow The other day and. Sounds. Better then nothing

I put a set of bbk headers and straights out the back 3" into 4" silverline bore tips and noticed a decent change in power. Then added a edelbrock intake manifold accel wires plugs and distributor now she runs pretty good lol

Just throwing this out there; my last truck was a 97 dakota; 4x4 5.2L I swapped the factory out for Flow-master 40 series on the truck and could notice a little bit more sluggishness from a start.. vs stock muffler it was really noticeable guess the chambers and small size created more back pressure than the factory 2 pipe hollow design. When i finally swapped again for Magnapak* strait through muffler the power returned and at WOT is the only real time you feel the difference.
