So both times you have clayed with the same results?

Very similar but 2 different clay kits. I never owned a black vehicle before and never noticed this on my silver 14 after a clay job. Ill try and find pics of it before with another clay bar kit

concur, ditch that autozone meguiars stuff and get Adams stuff. However, I really like the autoscrub http://www.nanoskinusa.com/collections/autoscrub-system/products/autoscrub-6-pad-fine-gradeover traditional clay.

I'm going to order something like this for sure. My brother is going to do his car tomorrow and I'll report again to see if the clay is indeed scratching as it removes contaminants.

Found it. This was just after my first clay bar job just after i bought the truck. I spend hours fixing it the first time. I'm going to stop using traditional clay all together and find a better solution. I'm scared if the clay now! The clay in this one was out of the Maguire's kit. IMG_20160829_171523572.jpg

This was when I corrected it the first time. IMG_20160829_171519449.jpg

It's best to clay before you polish a vehicle. Clay bar can potentially leave fine scratches like that in the paint. Luckily they are fine so it should polish out quickly. If you want your paint to stay swirl free the best it can, put a ceramic sealant on it. Adams just started offering one. Good luck
