Crew cab

Was looking around on the internet and started realizing crew cabs this vintage might be unicorns. To bad because I may be replacing my 02hd soon and want a crew cab. I would consider these older trucks I had an 88 and it was a good truck. Not sure yet about the newer stuff no experience with them yet time to start test driving I guess.

I find they sit around more, unless fleet version in a business.

 

96-02.. those got driven more. the vortec gave more air (power).

I just picked up a 1997 GMC K3500 crew cab back in November, I've been slowly fixing things which don't equal much but I like it.

 

 

BTW, I picked this up for $1500 and the 4WD didn't work, only because the front U-joint was broken.

It came from Arizona so it has sun damage on the paint. Body is in good condition but does have some dents, all minor though. This truck is strong, it has no problem towing. It is my daily driver and has been very reliable to me. It is a great looking truck but is not perfect. The interior is nice with no rips in seats. It does have stains in the carpet but most are from my kids and I'm sure could be cleaned with a carpet cleaner.. or just covered with floor mats. The headliner has a few cuts in it but it's not sagging and still looks nice. The camo vinyl wrap can be removed. There is nothing wrong with this truck except one door panel is missing a piece and the handle is broken. It also needs a new CV Axle for the driver side. Other than that there's nothing wrong with it. It was wired for a CB but I took the radio out, the antenna will stay. It also had lights mounted on top. The light bar will stay in place as well as the harness that's already wired in. It is also wired for a sub, this wires will stay in place. The truck will also come with 5 extra tires (4..Toyo open country 65%. 1.. Pro Comp 30%). It will be sold she sits!

 

 

 

More details:

It has 149K miles. Supercharged 5.7L, automatic transmission and push button 4x4. Electric fans. 6 inch lift. Transmission was rebuilt last year. Oil changed about a month ago. Tires were put on last year but still has about 95% tread (35x12.5x18). All brakes were done within the last year or so including rotors, drums, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and brake booster. New headlights less than a year ago. All interior lights have been changed to LEDs with red LED Strips under the dash and back seats. All windows work and battery is only 2 months old. If it runs and drives well I'd say 6k is a good deal. Of course have it checked out by a reputable mechanic before dropping cash.
