Would tuning solve my trans issues on my 6speed

Ok I noticed 2-3 upshift in drive or M it seems to slip or hang even when driving normally. I am the org owner with 78miles on her, now around 8k, with some heavy right foot miles. Also some days not as noticeable. every other gear goes on in, .

Slip it can be up to 600rpm

Hang it can be at least 3seconds until it engages.

I drive in M 98% of the time including downshifting.

No cel or anything

I haven't taken it to my dealer yet,

I have had a bad trans before on a 47re (dodge) blew the trans line 3 times and and it hated me, after rebuild turned the power up and still slipped (due to a defuel setting)

Had 11 ram with a hemi 5speed with 80k or so miles, and no issues

It could probably help quite a bit, but personally if you're still in warranty I would never use a tune to bandaid a mechanical problem.

Just get it fixed and then tune it.

You may have issues doing it the other way around

Ya i just wanted to see what the experts here thought, before i took it in. That just means cleaning out the whole truck ,wouldn't be that bad if the dang techs didn't try to steal anything! ...

I do remember reading about funky shifting in the 6 speeds not sure if my issue is related to that

Also not sure when this started either but its been going on for several months (got the truck in February or march this year)

I really don't want to take the truck in "oh its fine" and it not get fixed.

I am wondering if it's just the way the computer does in M? And the truck is fine i do know wot 2-3 shift is rough.

Drove around in drive yesterday vs M and never did get it to act up under light to moderate accl.

Would a batt pull help out or no?

Update did a wot pull today from 20-80mph and it shifted just fine in drive

Also my trans fluid was top of cold (trans temp 132* in neutral)

So this tells me that gm more then likely cant fix this and I should tune her, but would it solve my manual shifting though truck stays in M 99.9% of the time anyway,

Question is which tune company (terfica, hp or dialbosport) or should i wait a couple of years? Probably gonna wait anyway still buying other needed mods probably intake this Christmas?

I do accept the risk of tuning but want to make it less noticeable when i take it in for warranty work. I know the risk but i dont plan on pushing my 5.3 to its max like i did my hemi...
