figured id share a little progress thread with my truck and share some pics of the changes along the way

so long story short, i grew super tired of the stock truck pictured here:

First mod was a Volant exhaust. really love the sound (did this a week into ownership)

and went with a 2.5" level up front and 285/65/18 BGF K02 (for sale btw)

and obviously that got old in about, oh i dont know, 3 days lol, and knew i had to go for a full lift.

Luckily most of this good forum steered me away from RCX and to look into a better quality lift and bigger wheels/ tires

I chose the McGaughys 7-9 SS kit and Fuel Coupler wheels. Tires are Cooper STT Pros 35x12.5r20

next up was installing the lift.

found a super reliable and trustworthy shop near me and it came out absolutely awesome. nice to finally not be riding on the garbage rancho shocks anymore too

grew tired of the chrome and chose to color match the front gloss black. super glad i did this. really tied the truck together.
headlights (shown here warming up a sec or two) are now 5000K HID's and for a factory projector they arent terrible- for sure a huge huge improvement over the stock reflector housing/halogen bulbs

running the mcgaughys shocks that came with the kit

love the STT pros. really nice ride and while a bit noisier than the BFG's its truly nothing unbearable.

Did you color match with the bumpershellz product? If so how are you liking it? Looks awesome by the way.

That's a badass setup, good job! In your level pictures in the original post, did you have some stuff in the bed??

nothing in the bed. chalk that one up to the uneven ground i think.

Okie dokie. So you had done measurements afterwards, or could at least attest to the fact that on more-or-less level pavement that the truck wasn't sticking it's nose up in the air at some foul stench? Haha.
