Factory 20" Wheels and Aftermarket UCA

Does any one have reccomendations for aftermarket UCA's that don't rub on factory 20" wheels and larger tires?

Got a really good deal on some Icon 2.5 coilovers and 2.5 rears. I would like to go up to, or around, a 305/55/20 BFG KO2. However, Icon sales department indicated that their UCA would not work with factory wheels and larger tires. Maybe a 285/60/20 . . . that is 0.8" mor narrow than 305/55/20; and 0.4" wider than stock 275/55/20.

Any advice, experience, ideas? Thanks!

Don't know if the UCA's alone from this kit would work with the coilovers you have, but if installing the whole kit it claims you can keep your factory wheels with larger tires.

There's a chart at the bottom of the page that lists each OEM wheel, with the corresponding maximum tire hight and width.

The entire kit is pretty reasonability priced (less than some UAC's alone), so it would be worth it for just the UAC's if you had to buy the whole kit, which would also give you a front diff drop and a skid plate.

What makes some UAC's work with factory wheels, while others will not, I don't understand that?

^^^ Note the link above is for the aluminum and stamped steel factory UAC's. They have a different kit for the cast steel UAC's, you need to know what you're factory UAC's are. ( I'm sure you know that just wanted to add that)

Thanks for the info. Yeah, it would seem from that chart that maybe some UCA's may work. Camburg's site says max backspace is 4.75, which I think my OEM wheel backspace is higher.

I found that ReadyLift makes a mid-travel UCA that says is compatible with factory and level/lifts to some extent. Their site is not clear as to wheel/tire limitations.

Has anyone ran aftermarket UCA's with a 285/65/20 tire on stock wheels? ReadyLift indicated that stock width tires would be okay. This tire size would have approximately the same 10.8" width.
