06 Sierra HD grille conversion

Trying to see what I would need to do to fit the 07 Sierra classic HD grille onto my 06 Sierra 1500?

The HD trucks had a 2 inch body lift.

But I heard people just modify the brackets on the bumper to lower it and it should fit but I wanted make sure first before I try to modify anything

Either do a body lift, which my company sells a 3", or you will have to figure out how to drop the brackets. The brackets can be a pain in the ass, I had to cut mine off and weld new ones in for the Denali swap I am doing on my 04. Also nice to see another Californian on here

Not saying it can't be done, if you can weld or have a buddy who can weld, lower the bumper brackets. If you have a lifted truck, and they are common out in the desert, it wouldn't look bad. Go for it and mock it up with tack welds and fit the grille before you do the final welds on the bumper brackets.
