So I love the look

Of these meaty beasties but never have owned a set.

I have the Mickey Thompson Baja atz

Question is. Do the mud graps wear faster than others and how is the ride quality?

They last decent I know people who've gotten 40 to 50k out of them, but the problem is the noise. It will make your truck sound like an apache helicopter, and they are a really rough riding tire too due to the huge lugs. The Toyo MT is the best mud tire IMO

Yes Toyo MT is the name is the tire, it's not bad, most people get around 40 to 50 out of them, I have about 25k on mine and they are at about 65 percent I'd say

I currently have the Nittos on my 04 Silverado I agree with the noise they are louder, I don't know about an apache helicopter. In terms of the off road ability they are amazing. Plenty of times I was able to stay in 2WD because of the grip and the fact that they clean out really nicely. I have 15,000 on them and still have plenty of life left in them, I would be very surprised if I don't get 50,000 out of them. Side note I am currently looking at the Ridge Grapplers for my 2017 Sierra...just a suggestion
