Need help with my Gibson exhaust

Hi, It had been a month since I installed a new Gibson Dual Extreme Exhaust on my GMC Sierra 5.3L SLT 2016.. It has good tone inside the cabin and I know that this exhaust is not loud but whats annoying is it drones a lot on the highway like a chopper.

 

1) Are there any solutions to make it with less drone?

2) I want to make my exhaust louder, how? (please give me some options that does not void the car's warranty). Like I want the same thing I hear inside the cabin... I want it to be more noticeable!!

3) I have read in google that a new catback exhaust system gets louder overtime, how long will it take?

have to get rid of v4 mode and you could try clamping the flapper open.

Does it void warranty?

First of all....you no longer have the flapper that was mentioned because you removed the stock exhaust when you installed the Gibson catback exhaust. The "flapper" is right next to the stock muffler, which is no longer there...second, you are pretty much stuck with the drone because you have installed an aftermarket exhaust which focuses on power and sound over quiet exhaust tuning done by the factory. You could install the range device to disable the active fuel management...which will stop the annoying helicopter sound...but I don't know if that has any negative effects on the engine or not, it was designed by GM to shut down the cylinders for fuel economy...

 

Also, if you want to make it louder then all you have to do is remove the Gibson muffler and have a piece of exhaust pipe installed in its place...it WILL be LOUD!!
