AIR SPRINGS / BAG RECOMMENDATIONS

I have a 2016, 3500 SWR, with the standard bed. I have never owned or towed a fifth wheel, but understand that it will pull better than my 11,000 pound bumper pull camper that I have had for 5 years or so.

The fifth wheel we are looking at has around 1780 # pin weight.

Do I need air bags/springs for the truck since it is a one ton? That is dry weight and I do see that all of the storage is completely up front. I don't want to really be maxed out so I am leaning towards bags. My AIRLIFT on my 2003 Duramax was the traditional, both bags inflate equally with a switch and compressor and it worked fine. I just like tech stuff and am curious about the wireless system.

Anyone use the wireless AIRLIFT kit? I am assuming with all the computer crap that it would be best to run the power straight to the battery instead of trying to tap in somewhere?

While I haven't installed air bags on my 2015 yet. I've had really good experiences with the tradition Air Lift 5000 series. Their kits have always been excellent for me. I would add air bags if I was in your position. I have no experience with the wireless kits. Depending on the fifth wheel setup you get, just watch for clearance issues. Smooth dust cover or railed trp?

I am sorry but I don't understand the last question.

LOL, oh I see, no I enjoy trap shooting, sporting clays, and skeet. I do more sporting clays than anything these past couple years.
