yup. same here in CT.

usually female drivers hit potholes and **** rims up or blow out the sidewalls...

seems kind of crazy to try to blame the town. no body in this world can take the blame for their own mistake. thats what is wrong with america these days... its always someones fault and not yours...

asking the town to replace your rim? might as well see if they cover brake pads and rotors because the town has stop lights and stop signs..

In STL if you file a claim with the city/county (depending location) they will investigate the said pothole and if it measures up they will reimburse you. We pay taxes for road repair.

***UPDATE***

After the water dried up, I was able to see what I hit. It wasn't a pot hole but an unfinished side of road that was perpendicular to the one I was driving on. The dirt had corroded away from the side so the concrete was exposed. So instead of a concave pothole, I hit the flat side of some concrete and probably why this looks worse than it should.

I was finally able to find 2 OEM take offs but unfortunately the tires don't match brands. Good time to upgrade to some 33's since I have a 2.25" ProComp level kit. They should fit right?

My mechanic gave the impacted side a once over and drove it and nothing appears to be loose, broken or bent. This says a lot for the durability of theses trucks cause the hit was jarring. Hell, the alignment doesn't even appear off as the steering wheel is still straight and drives straight without having to hold it. Don't freak out tho cause I am still going to get it aligned. The dealership just sent me a coupon too for an alignment so perfect timing!
