New shocks on a 2011

I own a 2011 Silverado 2500HD. Always wanted to put some Bilstein 5100's in it. Would it be a waste at 30k miles to change them out Or are the stock shocks okay ? I bought a set for my plow truck and they are so nice.

Thanks

Your stock shocks are probably perfectly fine but there is always room for upgrades haha. I'm all about trying to get the best ride out of these 2500hd tanks. I have 18,000 miles on my 2500hd and I'm about to upgrade shocks. After market shocks have always performed better for me than stock shocks.

The stock shocks were pretty weak on my 2010 2500HD; they could barely control the rebound when I would hit bumps and dips. I put on Bilstein 5100's after about a year of that nonsense and experienced a huge improvement in ride. I should've done it the first month; it was the single most helpful thing I did for a better, more controlled, ride.

So, no, it wouldn't be a waste of money.
