weird speedo problem

Hey ,

Every once in a while(hasn't happend in about 6 months at least) i'll be driving on the interstate and when I go to slow down for an offramp, the truck slows down, but the speedo sticks ?

Then when I get back on it ,it will not move but skip in about 5 mph increments?

Once i have stopped truck, or driving at slow speeds(35-55 mph range) it works fine again?

Anyone heard of this problem or any fixes? Could the vss be going bad? or just a gremiln i have?

no clue, have you ever pegged her before? Maybe something electrical with the speed sensor. Try calling up the garage and asking if they have heard anything like this.

I dunno, It may be catching on the face plate(where all the number are)..i replaced mine with a white background, and they stuck a little, so i just pulled them up off the face plate a bit and it works fine now.

Hah funny thing. My 94 does same thing. I'll be getting on freeway, and I hit my blinker to merge to different lane, and when I hit blinker speedo jumps then falls back to my speed. Weird.....I just ignored it. It only does it once in a blue moon.
