2014 HVAC no longer works

I have a 2014 Sierra Denali with 40k and of course my warranty ran out at 38750 since I bought it as a dealer demo. The HVAC system started blowing hot air out on Sunday and was told today the condenser was cracked and now I'm stuck with a $1600 repair bill for a known defect. Tried calling GM customer service and they called into the dealership for me but since the vehicle was bought out of state the local dealer basically told my I was SOL and wouldn't be able to help me out on the bill. I tried to plead that all my service has been completed at their dealership and that the vehicle was purchased due to year end limited stock causing the local dealer to be unable to trade for it at time of purchase without any success. I can say the local dealer definitely lost a customer and I will be glad to drive across country for my next vehicle if I stay with this brand.

Expensive trucks are expensive to maintain. Since you are no longer concerned with warranty just DIY.

So I guess that it is expected that the AC quits after 3 years then. Setting the bar lower and lower all the time for GM. My daughters 2003 Celica works perfect with almost 300K on the powertrain and no rust on the body.

Please tell us how this one example means it is expected to fail at 3 years? If a GM will fail at 3 in your words then a Dodge must fail in what less than 2 years?

Quit being an irritating complainer. You have a few small issues with your truck sell it, no need to go fishing just to keep spreading fake info to make your self feel better. I am surprised you haven't been banned for trolling yet.

My issue is just with the part being more of a known issue with these trucks to fail but the dealership refusing to admit it. I know these trucks are expensive to maintain but expected it to last longer than 40k miles.

Stalk much? Got nothing else better to do than reply to my threads because I'm stating something that is honest? You have shares in GM that you think this blog will affect?

The guy spoke about a failed AC unit in just over than 3 years. And if this is a single case, why is this out there?

Go harp on someone else if you have nothing significant to contribute. Please.
