What is a good supercharger kit to get for a 2015 chevy silverado 1500 5.3l??? Been looking but I was wondering there are any out there cheaper than $5000? And what kind of hp can they push out after installed???

You want the whipple supercharger. It's like $6k but that will be the #1 kit you can buy

I have a whipple now, I did have a vortec once years ago it performed just fine at 5 lbs of boost.

Too bad vortech doesn't have a kit out for these trucks

Depends on starting HP, the vortec went a on a 99 ford truck with 220 HP if I remember right it was 45HP gain. The whipple is on my 92 Chevy. That engine is rebuilt special for the setup 383 stroker dart roller, headers 10lbs boost whipple. The guy I bought it from 5 years ago said 500 at 5lbs, 600 at 10lbs. I never check, it's so fun to drive at part throttle in never really push it.

You can buy 383 strokers all day long as crate engines with 400 HP. This one was built by Houston engine and performance in Houston. I'm sure they did a little better, with 10lbs of boost. Other wise put a crate motor in it and add the whipple.

I don't know what you're talking about. I was just saying the Whipple supercharger makes 450rwhp on our 5.3 trucks. I'm pretty sure nobody's gonna wanna swap a motor that only makes 45 more crank HP out of the box and then add a whipple

Not to mention wheel HP is definitely not the same as crank hp

Your post came just after mine. I said in my truck, which is a 92 had a modified set up with a HP claim I never check. Then came your post, I answered your post. I know what it makes in the 5.3 it well documented. That's what I was talking about.

I see. Yeah I was just telling the OP what HP gains to expect from the Whipple supercharger on his truck.

They are but I was drawn away from them. Everyone I know has taken theirs off due to them chewing up belts.
