moris code from behind the dash

I don't know how else to describe it. there is a ticking sound coming from behind the dash, I think its in the cab and not the engine bay but it sounds like moris code but totally random. any one experience this and point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this?

Just reaching here...had something similar to what you describe in my 07, turned out to be an havac blend door actuator loosing its mind. Any HVAC weirdness? Such as setting air to floor vents, and coming out of defrost ports?

Leaf or debris fall down by the hvac fan? Have you changed your cabin filter recently? And it's Morse* code

My mothers 2013 Impala had a sound like that. As soon a I heard it I told her it's sticker they put on a part coming off inside the HVAC.

 

Sure enough it blew out the vent one day in chunks and now it's quiet as new again.

 

I suspect the sticker was on the outside and haning over from bad placement on the ducting but was bent over and wound inside when it was assembled.

 

Just line worker rushing.

does the sound get louder and more pronounce when you raise the RPMs? pushing the pedal or when grade braking activates

Is it only in 4wd? That electronic chirping is a known issue

No its completely random. It will even click with the engine off.

 

On a side note, it hasn't done it since I posted this.

Blend door actuator, it's basically a servo that controls the heat and cold for your passenger compartment. This would be where I put my money.
