Hey guys I have been researching and reading a lot on here for the past month or so and finally decided to make the jump. I picked up a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali this weekend. It has the 6.2L in it and is the rearwheel drive version only, not AWD. So I thought you guys would be the ones to ask. Upon further inspection of the truck I noticed there are some electrical problems. The driver side seat controls work fine until I start the truck then they are intermittent, same with the electronic foot pedals. The biggest problem I have is the door locks. None of them work. The key fob works fine locking, unlocking, and remote start, however it doesn't actually lock or unlock the truck. I have to manually push them all down and then use the key to unlock the driver door. When I use door controls or the key fob I can hear the locking mechanisms all trying to do something. I changed the fuses and that's about it. If anyone can point me in the direction of the 2008 6.2 Denali forums I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!

There was a bad run of door lock actuators in the 08 model year. All 4 of mine failed over the course of a year or two and were replaced within the warranty period. They exhibited the same symptoms as yours. Pretty well know problem on 08s.

Sorry, can't help on your seat/adjustable pedals issues.

I had to replace one actuator in my '09, the rear driver's side.

Regarding the pedal and driver's seat controls - how does the voltage gauge read? Maybe low voltage when the engine's on, or possibly a BCM issue? Just guessing here.
