Strange sound

The last couple days I heard a strange whining or whistling sound coming from what I believe is the right front of my truck after I shut it off. The sound is intermittent and seems to go completely away after the truck cools down. I hear it the most in the area of the right front wheel well. Any ideas with this can be? By the way my truck is a 2500 HD with a 6.0
