Tonight it's LIGHTS OUT for my 14 GMC Sierra

Headlights went out on my 14 GMC Sierra, made it home on fog lights. You can hear the shutter working for highbeams but lights are dead, truck has had the Volsa bulb and BCM upgrades. Hoping for a bad fuse, anyone run into this issue? Thank you.

I don't recall seeing anything in the threads about the "factory equipment" shutting down. If it's both lights that went out at the same time, I'd put money on it being a blown fuse .... or maybe a relay ?

Turned out that both Volsa bulbs burned out together. Dealer replaced bulbs for me and I can see again.

Or one was already burnt and you didn't notice until the second one blew.

No, I pull up close to my garage door and light patterns are very visible. 2014/5 GMC owners pay close attention to there trucks lighting as they are pretty sorry in terms of usable lighting. lol

Mine did the same thing three weeks ago. Both lights out within hours. Had the bulb TSB about a year and half earlier. Checked both bulbs and they were toast. Pretty short life span and they sure as hell aren't cheap.

It is because the BCM upgrade is over-driving the Volta bulbs to get them to generate more light off the filament. I had one burn out, and knew the second wasn't far behind. Local dealership still stocked the older bulbs! I gave the GMC logo on the front of my truck the finger again, and ordered a HID kit from TRS. Way better lighting.

Also, funny enough, I recently had a software headhunter ping me on LinkedIn about applying for a position at GM. I told them to screw off, I'd never work for GM after the designs I see in my own vehicle. No reply after that. :)
