4.8 to 5.3 Swap Input Appreciated

Hi guys, I recently bought a 2000 Sierra 4x4 with the 4.8, 3.73 and have a 68k mile 02 5.3 I'm getting ready to install. I'm not looking for huge performance gains but was wondering if the cheap SS headers, CAI and a tune would gain much. The truck will be used to haul our camper that will weigh 6k max.

Your feedback is appreciated for what I should do to make this a good tow vehicle.

Thanks for the reply Chris. It has 285/70/17 and the leveling kit but otherwise is stock.

Those tires reduce the effective gear ratio.

Sounds like a tune and some 4.10 then?

A custom tune from a company like Black Bear
