Bed Prep for liner

I recently got a weathertech techliner, in the instructions it insists on cleaning the bed with soap and insuring its completely free of any foreign substance. Any tips or tricks for doing this? It mentions using window cleaner..but I know better then to use window cleaner on paint(I make chemicals for a living)

Dawn dish soap will act as a degreaser. It won't harm clear coat, but if you have hand waxed the vehicle, do not use dawn on the places you want the wax to stay. make sure to tell us how the bedliner goes.

I went to their web site and read the install instructions.

Use what you feel comfrotable with to clean the bed. They important thing is to fasten it down if no cap on the bed so it doen't blow out.

​Denatured Alcohol if the supplied pads don't clean well enough for you to adhere it down.

Thanks for the replies, I'm thinking I'm going to vacuum it out and just get in there with a couple of sponges and a bucket of diluted soapy water. Really the beds not super dirty, just dust and plant pollen mosty with those little tree buds all over. I'm really excited about the techliner, I coulden't justify the cost of a spray in for how little bulky items I haul back there. And I liked how the techliner covers a bit of the sides of the bed also, incase something does slide back there. I also have a tonnau that needs to go after the liner is in...i'll let you know how it goes.
