Trade or keep 2016 gmc

You join with a whining screen name and only ten posts asking for advice and apologizing for not posting complaints sooner? You are an adult, do what makes you happy; only you can decide if it is bad enough to trade and if your financially able. Most of your complaints are minor or have been fixed. USB, wheel flaking, dash, ect. The engine oxidation is normal on parts that are not coated (some won't be), no need to cry about that one. They are going to paint the truck, problem solved.

Maybe you should quite moaning and bellyaching and either try another dealer, trade it in or let them fix the stuff they can that needs fixing. I can promise you will have issues with any other brand, maybe do more research next time (if you do you will see a laundry list of issues will all brands on their forums) and hope for the best. Calling this truck over priced garbage isn't helping your case and isn't farther from the truth (have you checked the prices of a Ford lately compared to the issues they have with the engine or other aesthetics)? Maybe a Dodge is more in your price point? :rollin: Either way I bet you will be on the next forum with the screen name 2017 Ford Lemon or 2018 Dodge Fail Truck or something another...

Either way I bet you are one of those people who are never satisfied and will specifically look for things to complain about. Personally I say you trade if you are that unhappy.

Tyler

Tyler, I have had nothing but GM trucks since I can recall. I traded in a very good dodge challenger for this truck. Price is not the issue here I came back due to being loyal to a truck brand. However I am upset due to poor customer service and all the issues this truck keeps having with less than a year of ownership. My truck has been in and out of the dealer an I have given them plenty of chances to fix the issues the truck has had, but it seems as soon as they fix one another appears.

And I doubt if you experienced any of these things on the very second day of ownership you would be very satisfied.

Thank for your input, and being honest, hard to find folks like you. I either need to take the hit or deal with it.

Well since you asked.....drive your POS truck down to the shittiest part of town. Leave the truck butleave your key on the seat, take your valuables, oh leave a jerry can with 5 gallons of gas and a flare stick so the would be car thieves can torch the truck. Walk about 1 mile down the road and call an uber. Go home wait about an hour use the OnStar App and see if the location has moved. Call the police and report it stolen.

If you live in Califronia, drive it down to the Mexican border and do the above. Make sure your full coverage insurance is paid and up ro date.....all because you asked our advice

this is a great! and asking for advice from folks off the internet is outrageous, whats more outrageous is the fact you assume I would take to heart what you all suggest I should do. Honestly though your advice is awesome and something that would come out in a movie and totally backfire.

you're better off with a Tundra or something

maybe, after the new model comes out!

For the posts that have actually been insightful thanks again for sharing your thoughts. I will try to take pics and upload them before work.

Thanks to Tyler, now I feel like i am overreacting and maybe something I needed a complete stranger to say. But I see and drive my friends trucks and none of them have the issues my truck has.

Then let your dealer or another dealer attempt to warranty repair your truck, if your disgusted by the fact its taking time to fix a bunch of stuff, talk to GM about a customer buy back, or contact you BBB if you're hetting nowhere with GM....it's that simple. Your initial reaction seems nothing more than impulsive and hapless bitching, hence the responses you got. Welcome to the internet!

I'm just confused why you wouldn't get the BBB involved after two weeks, this isn't something you bought at Best Buy, its a 30K truck and if you want it fixed you need the right attention. I hope it all works out for you in the end.

Well Steve it is not "hapless bitching!" I was able to get GMs attention through this website and got a call yesterday working on how to resolve this issue. GM has been working on this case for over 8 months, and since I am such a nice guy I have given them a lot of time and chances to fix these issues. My next step is like you and others have advised, I will contact BBB.

I wish you would experience some of the issues I have then see if you would poke fun at this post. Believe me I rather be the guy calling someone a whining bitch, because my truck came out with no defects.

I didn't due to facts that I like the truck, and I honestly thought it was just one issue I would encounter.
