Trade or keep 2016 gmc

Well guys it has been a been a couple of weeks since I lasted posted. I still continue to have issues with my truck and seems every week there is a new one to add to the list.

GM customers service has totally turned its back on me. They have not reached out to me after leaving several messages and emails. It appears my new truck with 4800 miles will need the entire left side painted since the original paint is now bubbling up.

I was thinking about trading my truck in but every where I go I am going to take a $9,000 hit. What is even worse is that some dealers are noticing the wind noise and paint issues.

Turning to the site for some support, and advice. Do I trade in now and take the hi?t or do send my truck in for paint and keep it for 2 more years? I will say this, I am never buying a new GM product again. The quality of these over priced trucks is garbage.

Post pics, we also need to see the dealer sheet where GM sold it, if or not it was a dealer trade.... etc?

you need to keep doing weekly follow up process, takes time for big companies to get stuff done.

I battled with GM for a very long time with issues on my truck and a specific dealer. I would be on the phone for hours at a time and lasted months. It was about 7 hours a week and lots of follow up. Needless to say I was furious, wasted my time, and mad that GM would not stand behind their trucks.

What ended up getting their attention was believe it or not, a BBB complaint. I was also in talks with 3 lawyers

To answer your question, that is a financial decision you have to make. but usually a truck that has problems will always give you problems. I would fight a bit more, because in my situation, i got a little settlement out of it which might lessen the blow of the $9,000

I have yet to post pics. The truck was bought new with 9 miles, I will try to follow up with GM and post pics later today.

You join with a whining screen name and only ten posts asking for advice and apologizing for not posting complaints sooner? You are an adult, do what makes you happy; only you can decide if it is bad enough to trade and if your financially able. Most of your complaints are minor or have been fixed. USB, wheel flaking, dash, ect. The engine oxidation is normal on parts that are not coated (some won't be), no need to cry about that one. They are going to paint the truck, problem solved.

Maybe you should quite moaning and bellyaching and either try another dealer, trade it in or let them fix the stuff they can that needs fixing. I can promise you will have issues with any other brand, maybe do more research next time (if you do you will see a laundry list of issues will all brands on their forums) and hope for the best. Calling this truck over priced garbage isn't helping your case and isn't farther from the truth (have you checked the prices of a Ford lately compared to the issues they have with the engine or other aesthetics)? Maybe a Dodge is more in your price point? :rollin: Either way I bet you will be on the next forum with the screen name 2017 Ford Lemon or 2018 Dodge Fail Truck or something another...

Either way I bet you are one of those people who are never satisfied and will specifically look for things to complain about. Personally I say you trade if you are that unhappy.

This man never sugar coats it......

He's right though. Why the OP would ask a group of strangers on the internet how to handle the second biggest financial decision in ones life is beyond me.

Well since you asked.....drive your POS truck down to the shittiest part of town. Leave the truck butleave your key on the seat, take your valuables, oh leave a jerry can with 5 gallons of gas and a flare stick so the would be car thieves can torch the truck. Walk about 1 mile down the road and call an uber. Go home wait about an hour use the OnStar App and see if the location has moved. Call the police and report it stolen.

If you live in Califronia, drive it down to the Mexican border and do the above. Make sure your full coverage insurance is paid and up ro date.....all because you asked our advice
