Borla XR-1 questions?

the easiest way to tell, but unfortunately a huge pita, would be to lay them both side by side and see where/how much they are different.

Has anyone had any luck with a full new system on a 2014+ 5.3 using the borla XR1 Pn#40085?    Thinking of deleting the unmonitored cat and going full new 3" with nothing but the xr-1, single side exit behind the tire but unsure as to how loud it will actually be.

I have a 18 6.2 sierra. I swapped the muffler for the XR-1, deleted the flapper and the resonator. Kept 3.5" pipe over the axle and dumped it about even with the spare tire. I absolutely love how it sounds. It is pretty loud outside the cab though. On cold start I can hear my garage door and house windows rattling from it. Once it warms up it's not too loud, but that cold start sounds like a race car almost haha.

Yeah that's kinda what I'm expecting too, my last truck was an 06  5.3L with true 3" straight pipe no cats/muffler anything.    It definitely made some choice neighbors.    Thinking this will be a little more tame.
