Straps that attach/hook to fenders?

I had a girl lose a mattress on I95 in DC a few years ago, I could do nothing but hit it...tore the lights up on the trailer, she never slowed down and I know she watched it come out cause I saw her looking at it as it happened.

 

I've seen cars leaving Lowes with sheets of plywood strapped to the roof. The ones that get me are the truck owners that think because most of something is in the bed, it won't find its way out...watched a contractor lose most of the components for a pressure-treated deck at an intersection on day.

 

The other thing that happens at the Lowes and Home Depots are overloading. And that's not just cars...can't count the times I went to one of the big box stores and saw someone try to load the entire brick patio in the back of a truck or the annual load of mulch in a half-truck. Ego is something that gets a lot of people in trouble, and I can't say I haven't egged a SUV or Ridgeline owner on once or twice...
