Wood/Any Door Trim

Recommended Posts

Not sure if many people have taken their door panels off to do any speaker work or to fix anything specific. But beware of the Door Trim. It needs to be removed to access one bolt to remove panel and it is the absolute worst design I I've seen. Metal tabs will break. If not the first time, the second time.

Just thought I'd shine some light on an awful design.

I'm sure almost everyone is aware of that bolt and it's not "bad" design....it's just the way the panel is attached. No design flaws there and if you're using the proper trim removal tools, you won't break clips either. On the older cars we used to be able to just "wing" it. On today's cars especially with the unlimited resources of the internet, there's so many guides to doing almost anything. A simple search in google and you would've been prepared for this job.
