Coolant temperature sensor connector question

I have a 92 GMC K2500 with a 7.4L 454...had some work done on my manifolds, and the connector for my temperature sensor was ripped of the wire. The probe has 2 pins on it small flat ones, one horizontal and one vertical...but its a single wire for the probe. I can't find a new connector, so I just wanted to make one. Do I just jump the wire to both pins? Thank you very much for any help!

No,you need to connect to only one.One is the signal and one is like a guide pin.Make your connector, get the engine a little warm then plug it in to each of the pins, only one will have a signal.I use a standard male connector you'd find in any assorted connector kit cut in half.
