I saw many of fin in the water when I was younger and surfed a lot. Most of the time it was a dolphin. They love riding the breakers. One bumped my legs while I was waiting for a wave and it scared me to death.

I would have messed myself. I've never seen a shark in the water and plan to keep it that way.

According to Henry @ FSC, it's a bottle nose dolphin. The tail is horizontal, and all sharks have vertical fins as well as a small vertical fin just before the tail. This dolphin does not.

Still, it's a cool pic nonetheless. :(

If I was in the water and saw that I would get the "you know what" out of Dodge no matter if it's a shark or a dolphin! :(

I didn't realize dolphins got that big.

That is a cool photo though! I can't wait to show it to my wife...she's paranoid about shark attacks even if the water's only 6" deep! :flag:

Yet one more reason why I stay out of any waterbody that is bigger then a spring or small creek...which is really funny being that I am a Hydrologic Technician (I work with water)
