6.0 thermostat opening spec?

anyone know how much the thermostat is supposed to open on the 6.0 vortec engine? this is for a 2000 gmc sierra. would be nice to know what the oem spec is for that so i can compare the non oem t-stat. the non oem t-stat is opening at the right temp but i wonder if it is opening enough? this is just to satisfy my curiosity but also to have the shop who installed it possibly reimburse me for it if it is bad.

I'm not sure how far they open as far as an actual measurement. Thermostats go by temp. So a 190 degree thermostat should keep your water temp at 190 no matter the brand. If you boil it to test it, they don't open as far as you'd think, as long as they open some, they're ok
