Which style do you people like the best? I like the old body style better, which is what I have now. I like the chrome molding around the wheel rims and just the overall look.

i loved the 98/99 obs. Back in hs (98 when i grad) i was set on one then the 99 nbs came out and I liked it but i liked the boxier style better. I ended up with an 00 because i didnt wanna buy used

I like the 03 style.I had 2 of the old c/k and they are nothing like the new ones. The brakes and suspension on the new ones are so much better.I think most responses will mirror what people currently own. :(

Yeah thats true about mirroring what people own, thats probably true because people buy what they like! I like the 99-02 style with no trim at all, looks very sleek IMO. Also have a '91 and that style isnt bad at all. I dont really care much for the pre '88 trucks though.

Well the first department I was with had a 87 fullsize Jimmy that they had gotten from the FD. The auxiliaries used it for traffic and some patrol work. That thing was nice to ride in, being able to sit up and see everything and have plenty of room for gear. It would've looked better with some tires other than the 235(yes 235's) that were on it.

I like the 98 and slightly earlier GMC's. Nice lines and the grille was always sweet. My 99 looks good too, and if I had the cash and chance to do it again, I probably would've gone with an HD...love that 99-02 look.

Now the '03's have grown on me. At least with a lift. They have to have some height.

So for the top choice...hmm...99-02 HD's

The 03 is the best truck GM has ever made. Vast improvement in power, towing capacity, and braking. Self dimming mirrors and dual climate controls make the interior perfect for me and the wife. The truck has done everything I have ask it to do with ease. Thats why I bought it. When it's time to hitch up the travel trailer load up the family and cross the mountains I need peace of mind. I trust that GM has supplied me with the best vehicle to get us there and back safely. Sure looks are important but If I thought there was a better truck out there that was more reliable and safer i'd be in it.

By the way the 03 looks great.

Don't get me wrong, I love my current truck, but I'd give it up right now to get my '91 Silverado back in the same condition it was in before it was totaled.

That is a pretty sweet truck Tom. I remember we had a 88-89 Black K1500 SPORT, I am sure you know what I am talking about, everything was solid black and it had flares and SPORT decals. It was the ultimate garage queen, I was too young to drive then but I remember we hardly ever took it out. I wouldnt mind having it if it was in the same condition it was when we got rid of it! Still hard to beat my current truck though, although its not the most practical, there is something I love about a reg cab short bed?

7. 60-66

I usually don't like those, but yesterday I saw a restored 63 painted baby blue and sitting about 2 inches off the ground. I drooled all over the window starring at that thing.:flag:
