Any idea on what started the fire? It doesn't sound like it was too heavily modified, kinda scary! It would really suck to go to the track for a day of fun in the sun and have that kind of day.

Nitrose back fire, and somehow the fuel line came disconected and sprayed everywhere.

I don't know about you guys but I think the firemen took their time getting there just to entertain the crowd with the fire....by the time I got there I woulda just said F*ck it....LET IT BURN!!!!

The track workers should have been able to do more. Should have been able to stop it when it was still contained under the hood.

The track officials should have never walked away from the car until they were certain the fire was contained ...and it probably could have been done with a hand held.

I noticed in the pics they never raised the hood they just sprayed on top of it. When you have a fire under the hood your supposed to pop the hood and stick the nozzle under there and let er rip.

Reminds me of July 4th when a mini-van went up in Nausha NH (Rt 3 North) ... Fire trucks went down the exit instead of going to the van about 1000 feet up the road, just around a bend in the road.. Opps wrong trun... Started out small but that van was gone when it ended... I didn't have my digital camera at the time... Luckly everyone was out ok... Bad way to start your 4 th of July... Whole family stuck on the side of the road...
