Florida Looking Down a Gun Barrel

When I mean hit I mean something damaging. It'll probably be a cat 3 when it reaches Orlando. 2004 season wasn't bad and we got hit by 3. If I remember right one came back and hit us again so hit 4 times. My area doesn't flood and this isn't truck country so I've yet to see diesel run out. Used to be you had to worry about the gas station having power but I think after 2004 season any station over 8 pumps has to have a generator. Our summer thunder storms have been more violent than the last few storms to come out way. It could prove me wrong, I'll be fine. I know where to get what I need if it comes to that. If it truly is the end all like the media says I'll just reclaim stuff from the looters.

Now that I remember it I'll be on the bad side of a hurricane so that should make it interesting. Also I don't think Irma is the largest in diameter either. Hard to tell since multiple sites use different measurements. One will use total diameter another will use hurricane force winds diameter, eye diameter. I'm not denying that it's a big powerful storm but if it indeed does come up the tip it'll be slowed considerably by the time it gets to me.

Good luck riding it out...I've been chased down by two now trying to get out of jobsites before they hit, once by Hugo and once by Rita, and neither one was fun.

Thanks. It's now predicted to only be a cat 2 when it hits Orlando so that means street parties. Times like these are the only time I wished I lived around college kids so I could sit on my porch and watch them be drunken idiots in the street. Generator started so I'll be able to power my fridge and my computer, I'm good to go.
