New member. Thanks for having me on here. Sure hope i'm in right forum to ask this question. I have a 2006 GMC 5.3 Sierra, I love this truck. She has toted a many dead deer and has 152000 on her now. I know nothing last forever so, this is my question. Will heads off the 5.3 fit on a 1960's 327 block? Thanks

The LS 5.3 motor is a whole other animal to the old 327.

the small block has more headbolts, different port design and block.

 

Your 5.3 is a hot item. It has many better features than the old small block.

 

I still run a 1996 "little" 5 liter, I am a true fan ( an old guy).. and even that is metric, multiport..and headed for 400k miles.

 

152k miles on the LS is not much to a good owner.
