Noise coming from behind glovebox when starting engine?

Hi everyone,

 

I've got a 2017 Silverado DC Z71 with 5.3. Usually when I go start the engine I hear a noise coming from behind the glove box. It almost sounds like a vent opening or closing? Do others hear this noise on their 2017s? Not a huge deal, just a new noise that I didn't hear on my 2014.

Could be the recirculation door.

Do you have your automatic climate control on? If so, it's probably the blend door actuator or another part of the climate control system.

Check your cabin air filter ,it is behind the glove box you tube it , i think 2 screws and may be able to see the problem

Keep a list of minor annoyances or strange sounds and have them listed on your work order when you go in for your first service. Don't accept placating from the service manager that such sounds are normal. All may be well, but at least the tech will have a look and you'll have your concerns in writing for future reference!
