Updating inTune I-1000. Do I need to?

I am changing some things on my tune on my 2008 Silverado. I currently have the i1000. 

When I put the truck back to stock I checked the tune versions on the the Intune and they look to all be the current tunes based on what I found on Diablo's website. 

The most up-to-date tune on Diablo's website for the GM is:

GM PID 1r01a 2016-04-27 15:30:30
GM Tune 1r02u 2016-08-25 15:11:24

These are the same that are currently installed on my tuner.

I checked the other auto brands  tunes just to be safe and they are all the same as what is currently on my tuner. 

Since my i1000 has all the current versions based on the website do I really need to update my i1000? The last updates are from 2016. 

Last question. Do I need to download and install Ignition Update Software (for PC)?
