New Owner Saying Hello

Hi gang....Zane and I met last year at Bragg-Smith Advance Driving School in Nevada and from there we've kept in contact.

I recently purchased a 2003 Chevrolet 3500 LT Dually 4x4 and am loving this truck! I went with the 6 liter motor after spending several days on what motor to go with. For what I want to do with the truck...I figured the 6 liter was plenty. I'll be towing a 1,600 lbs trailer and a 3,400 lbs car behind the truck. The max tow on the truck I believe is at 9,200 so figured it could tow the car and trailer and still have a lil room for tools and tires.

At any rate...I'm looking forward in interacting with you all and learning about some after market parts and upgrades. ;) Learning what works and what doesn't.

Currently I'm in the market for some Step Bars, a Tool Box, Spray on Bed-Liner, and some Mud Flaps. If you guys have any recommendations on these listed items then please post up in regards to them. I sure would appreciate it.

Looking forward to meeting new friends....

Nice ride, welcome aboard. For a liner, I got a permatech spray-in. It's been in for about 3-3&1/2yrs of the 4 years I've had my truck and no problems.

 Welcome! :nono:

I've had a Toff Liners spray-in bedliner for a couple of months now and love it! I have had several tool boxes on previous trucks and they were all UWS (United Welding Service) and would recommend them.

Welcome to the forum, and I'm glad you like your new truck!!!

A spray-in liner like an Arma Coatings (or something similar) would be the way to go. Personally I would stay away from the colored ones and get one done in black.

A set of Husky mud flaps would go nice on the front... but I don't know what you would use on the rears.

Most people that have the Westin Step Bars really like them. The Chrome PLated Stainless ones have a lifetime warranty.

Good luck selecting the right mods for your new truck!!!

Looking forward to meeting new friends....

Speedliner spray-in liner is AWESOME!! Contains Kevlar Fiber and is tougher than "you know what"!! Check out their website....

I have it in my 02 HD 4x4 Crew Cab and think it is the best out there!! Beats Rhino hands down in my opinion. Check it out and decide for yourself.

Enjoy the new truck and welcome...

Thank you guys for your responses. Sorry I've been away for a bit...

I'm actually considering having the liner done using Line-X and I'm still debating the other accessories. Still looking into everything you all posted back to me and again....I do appreciate it. ;)

Here's a pic of my new baby.
