Stoners Invisible Glass Cleaner

After getting 'bout 10 suggestions in a "what to use" thread, I purchased a can of Stoners Invisible Glass Cleaner. Ran about $5 for a big aresol can. Used regular "shop type" blue paper towels to clean the interior and exterior windows on my '02 silvy.

Great stuff!! Foam cleaner does not run and you have plenty of time to wipe it off before it dries. Use on cool glass, tho, as I would imagine it would become rather sticky on a hot window. Took two passes to get rid of the haze that I had on the windows (thanks Windex  ). But the glass is crystal now. Wunnerful stuff.

Only deducted .5 pt for kinda a chintzy spray button - it fell off after a couple of sprays. No real problem, just had to climb under the truck to find it. But it has stayed on since, so....

If you are still using a windex-type of ammonia cleaner - you really owe it to yourself to try this stuff.

Pepboys or Oreilly carries this and I have heard Wally world does too.

I must agree! Very nice stuff. Their "more shine less time" works very nicely too

what is the active ingredient in stoners? I've been meaning to get some but haven't gotten around to it. Wonder why it works so much better.

Am already at work today, so cant check the can.. If nobody else chimes in, I'll get the low-down tonite and report back with more info.

This stuff really works. I cleaned all the windows on the silvy (inside and out) and when I shook the can the last time, it seemed still, like, 95% full. I think one can will last a looong time.

The only thing the can says is "Invisible Glass contains a complex, multi-component cleaning formula which is non-abrasive and non-foaming. It is designed specifically to clean glass without leaving streaks or haze." Straight off the can!

I don't know what's in it but it WORKS! :jester:

The Scott blue "shop towels on a roll" or the box version are the best overall to use with the Stoners'. If you don't use scrubing pressure, they are fine to use on tinted windows. Don't waste your monies on microfiber stuff. Plus when your done with the windows, you can use those used "wet" towels on the chrome or to wipe down the brake dust off the wheels.

I myself don't clean the windows every week, so two passes with Stoner's work great. The first pass gets rid of all the road oils, the second does the final cleaning/polishing. Then I buff the glass with a dry "blue" shop towel (outside and non tinted only).

Of all these years, I have never been able to get windows clean using newspaper, no matter what cleaner. If any of you can more power to you.

Been using the Stoner's for years, good stuff! My wife even uses it in the house now, since Windex isn't the same product as it used to be, and Windex now sucks.

Love the stuff too. My truck, apartment, tv screens and mirrors. I use it on everything that is glass. Friggin rocks and has the funny Stoner sticker as well.
