Mud Flaps

I'm looking for some decent quality mud flaps. Can't find any locally, does anyone know of a source for these? Thanks!

You should be able to get some from your local Chevy Parts department. They offer some with Bowties or Z71 on them.

The Husky Molded Mud Guards/Flaps are excellent, I've had em on my 01 Hoe for 2yrs. I've speeded thru deep long puddles at the coast throwing up huge rooster tails and these babies have stayed on with no problems. I don't have flares and so most of the holes on the flaps line up with the oem flare mounting holes - and I used gm flare fasteners (1/4" push-in) and so did not even have to drill any holes in the metal, but did drill a few in the flaps to match up with the oem holes.

One thing to look out for on GM or Husky Mud Guards (Had both) is the area where they contact the body has a tendency to collect sand and dirt. Over time it scratches the paint. Some guys have used double stick tape with some success. Also they do not "flex" very well when driving over a curb or obstical and can tear the mounting holes in the Mud Guards. I have gone to the old style flat rubber Mud Flaps instead.

I have the genuine GM molded mud flaps and really like them. The best part is they fit perfect and use existing mounting holes. Total installation for the rear pair was 15 minutes. My front ones arrive today and should be just as easy.

I have the factory paint matched flairs. I bought the molded flaps. Since the flairs are painted plastic I haven't noticed any paint rubbing on mine. The flaps did come with a rub guard type of decal to go between the flaps and the flairs. Not sure if it's working but I don't see any noticeable rubbing.

My setup used mostly the clips and only had to drill one hole. I would suggest using stainless screws if you do go with that setup. Also yes they do not bend very well so if you do a lot of serious offroading that may be an issue.

I love mine, and have been asked several times where I got my mudflaps from. Nice quality product.

I have always used the flat rubber ones from NAPA they are 12x18. I like them because they are flat you can use factory hardware and mount them to cover things like wider wheels or larger tires. The cost of about $9.00 a pair it dosen't matter if you rip one off with a curb or melt one around an exhaust pipe because all four are the same. On my work truck I've replaced the right sides for the cost of one set, probably can't do that with custom ones.
