Finally got my shellz on and finally went ahead and put my new lights in. Had a few mishaps with the driver fog bezel so I have a another one on the way. Got to say though it was a major pain putting on I would highly recommend taking the fog light bezel completely out to avoid breaking the plastic like I did, the only issue with that is GM decided to make it very hard to access, the bumper basically have to come out to take the figs out unless there’s a truck I don’t know about. Overall I love how it came outb5ee07e8bd7e11fb7359ab1f06c4e299.jpgb5ee07e8bd7e11fb7359ab1f06c4e299.jpga05f02d25031a7ffc18eebd49286b220.jpgb5157bd2198d75dc31505e672116c30b.jpg

I'm actually surprised you got the passenger side to work so well!  The cover is actually designed to sit on top of the fog lamp bezel, not go underneath it, specifically because it is so hard to get that fog lamp out and back in. The only trim you need to worry about is the lower valance.  Dang good job on that though!  The passenger side looks super clean.  Keep in mind you may have to alter the fog lamp a little bit to get it to work right considering that this isn't the exact way it is designed to be installed.

I had a minor heart attack, thought I installed mine wrong over the top of the fog bezels but they fit way too well over the top.

So you put your covers behind the fog light bezels was it hard to do

In the previous pic I had just set it on top to see how it fit and what it would look like it broke during install

I really thought that it went under. Interesting though. Where the fog light bezel is the shell indents so this is why I thought it went under to conform perfectly with the bumper... but I like it better that way because to me it looks more factory so Ill just replace the fog bezel on the driver side

Yea man yours looks perfect I just felt as though I had a lot of excess and when I tucked it under it fit perfect on the bumper so that’s how I thought it went but it looks great to me

Got the new bezel on (which was a pita) but thank God for the ratchet wrench. To me it looks perfect tucked behind so I’m glad I went that route 6f581a7f08376845594da790f05576a6.jpg62ab722b387d8c504505c79d1af41a7c.jpgc145acac4afb0721bafe939411301584.jpgea8671feb135b4b58f8bdacdda144aa5.jpg

    • I agree, simplicity and reliability matter more as vehicles get more complicated. A V8 work truck option with fewer electronic features and a stronger warranty would definitely appeal to a lot of buyers who use their trucks for real work. Customizing it with trusted outfitters is often the best way to get exactly what you need.webcrimsNY
    • I’ve heard similar complaints from newer vehicles where the factory “premium” systems don’t always live up to expectations. A good installer should be able to improve the sound without turning it into a bass-heavy setup. I’d look into upgrading the front speakers, adding a quality DSP amplifier, and possibly improving sound deadening first—those changes usually make a much bigger difference than just adding a subwoofer. Hopefully someone local can recommend a reputable installer in the Las Vegas/St. George area.
    • Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.
    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
